What is AWS Class E320LR-16 Coated Electrodes?

AWS Class E320LR-16 Coated Electrodes are designed with a controlled composition of chromium (19–21%), nickel (33–37%), molybdenum (2–3%), and limited carbon, silicon, and manganese, ensuring resistance to intergranular corrosion and carbide precipitation. They deliver excellent weld integrity with stable arc performance and smooth bead appearance. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of approximately 550–650 MPa, yield strength around 350 MPa, and elongation of 30–35%, providing both strength and ductility. These electrodes are suitable for welding alloys exposed to severe chemical, thermal, and corrosive environments.
