What is AWS Class E309LMo-16 Coated Electrodes?
AWS Class E309LMo-16 coated electrodes are designed with a unique composition that includes 23–25% Chromium, 12–14% Nickel, 2–3% Molybdenum, and low Carbon content to enhance corrosion and oxidation resistance. This formulation provides superior weld strength and durability, especially for joining dissimilar steels or stainless steels. Mechanically, these electrodes deliver tensile strength of around 550–650 MPa, yield strength of approximately 350 MPa, and elongation of 30–35%, ensuring toughness and reliability. Their balanced properties make them ideal for chemical, petrochemical, and marine applications.
