What is AWS Class ENiCu-7 Coated Electrodes?

AWS Class ENiCu-7 coated electrodes are composed primarily of nickel (about 65%), copper (around 30%), with small additions of iron, manganese, carbon, and other trace elements to enhance weld performance. This composition provides excellent resistance to seawater and corrosive environments. The electrodes deliver mechanical properties such as a tensile strength of approximately 380–480 MPa, yield strength of around 170 MPa, and elongation up to 32%. These balanced properties ensure strong, ductile, and corrosion-resistant weld deposits suitable for marine, chemical, and offshore applications.
