What is AWS Class ENiCrMo-3 Coated Electrodes?

AWS Class ENiCrMo-3 Coated Electrodes are nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy electrodes designed for welding nickel alloys and joining dissimilar metals. Their typical composition includes Ni (≥50%), Cr (14–17%), Mo (14–17%), Fe (≤5%), Nb + Ta (1–2.5%), with small amounts of Mn, Si, and C. These electrodes exhibit excellent mechanical properties, including tensile strength ~650 MPa, yield strength ~400 MPa, and elongation ~30%. They provide high toughness, creep resistance, and corrosion resistance in severe environments such as oxidizing, reducing, and high-temperature service.
