AWS Class E9015-B9 coated electrodes are designed for welding high-temperature creep-resistant steels, especially in boiler, refinery, and power plant applications. Their typical composition includes Chromium (8–9%), Molybdenum (0.9–1.1%), Vanadium (0.18–0.25%), with low Carbon and balanced alloying elements for strength and stability. These electrodes offer excellent creep resistance, oxidation resistance, and toughness at elevated temperatures. Mechanical properties generally include tensile strength around 620–760 MPa, yield strength of 420 MPa minimum, and elongation of 20% minimum, ensuring durability and reliability in critical, high-stress service conditions.
