What is MULTIMET® Welding Wire?

MULTIMET® Welding Wire is crafted from a cobalt-nickel-chromium-tungsten alloy, typically featuring around 26% chromium, 21% nickel, 15% tungsten, and a balanced amount of cobalt, along with trace elements of iron, molybdenum, and carbon. This unique blend offers remarkable high-temperature strength and outstanding resistance to oxidation and carburization, even at temperatures reaching 2100°F (1150°C). The alloy boasts excellent creep and stress-rupture characteristics, along with superior resistance to sulfidation and hot corrosion. MULTIMET® is known for its excellent weldability, toughness, and metallurgical stability, ensuring strong, durable welds in extreme conditions where resistance to both thermal and chemical degradation is essential.
